This is the first of 5 sermons at BCEC’s 2009 Summer Teen Conference. The theme was “g2G” which stands for go to God.
Many of you know that if you’re chatting online, you can tell your friends “g2g” because you “got to go.” Funny thing is that you can leave right away. No need to wait for your friend to reply. No need to give a reason. You may even start chatting with another friend.
But our STC theme for 2009 is a play on this g2g. Our theme is “go to God.” And when we go to God, we often do want God to reply. We do want God to give us a reason. We want to hear from God, right now, right away!
This year at STC, we’ll learn from the Bible about what it means to go to God: how to go to Him, when we can go to Him, why we can go to Him.
Maybe you’re not a Christian or unsure if you are, then I hope you learn more about this God who you can go to for help and hope. And if you are a Christian, you can learn more about the God that hears, offers hope, and gives help.
